"She's Not Even a Cop!" -- David & Natalie (2003-2007)

Natalie: Actually, my favorite part was when we got to the top of the mountain, and the nuns came out from their cloister and greeted us.
David: That's enough out of you, Mary Sunshine.

Natalie: Where's Dorian?
David: She got a call from John McBain back in Llanview. Apparently, Adriana’s gone missing.
Natalie: Well, what does he think happened to her?
David: He's not sure, nosy.

David: (to an affectionate Natalie and Paul) Oh, for the love of Pete, could you two make a display of yourselves after we find the money?

[John and Natalie have tracked down and arrested David in Thailand]
David: Natalie, thank you for at least having the decency to move me to the couch.
Natalie: David, I'm not doing you any more favors, not while we have Margaret thrashing about.
David: She’s not thrashing anymore, but she’s definitely about.
Natalie: John’s still not answering his phone.
David: I wouldn’t exactly callous your fingers dialing out. When the phone lines go down around here, they stay down.

Natalie: David, John is a cop. All he wants is to put his father’s killer behind bars. He’s not an animal. He believes in the law. You're as safe with him as you would be with any other police officer.
David: That’s supposed to make me feel better?

Natalie: Give it up, David.
David: Give what up?
Natalie: Squirming out of those cuffs.
David: Can you blame me? They're too tight.

Natalie: God, how am I going to let anyone know that Margaret’s alive if I can’t get through on a cell phone or a land line?
David: Monsoons tend to do that.
Natalie: Yeah, well, you know what? A tornado didn’t stop me, and I'm not going to let a monsoon get in my way, either.
David: Well, I'd help you out, but I'm a little tied up at the moment.

Natalie: (about John) He is going to build a case against you that will stick.
David: Yeah, I figured that sometime after he kicked the door in, but before he threw me against the wall.

Natalie: What are we going to do, John? How are we going to get them back to Llanview? We can’t go on a commercial airliner with Margaret kicking and screaming here. They'd arrest us.
David: Hold on, I have an idea. Drug Margaret, ship her in luggage. I'll wait here till you get back.

Natalie: I think I can go down to the airfield, wave some cash, and get us a flight out of here tonight.
David: In a monsoon? Not for all the frequent-flier miles in the world.

Natalie: Please, you have to listen to me. I work for the Llanview Police Department. This man is wanted for murder.
David: This is insane. She's not even a cop!

David: Do you, like most women aged 18-49, find me charming?
Natalie: Oh, yes.
David: Natalie, what are you doing here? Do you enjoy spending time with people you despise?
Natalie: I need you to draw me a picture.
David: Absolutely. Do you want the turtle, the deer, or the pirate from the mail-in art school application? I excelled in all of them. I was accepted, you know.

David: (to Natalie) The only thing my chicken scratch is going to prove is that I should take arts and crafts at Statesville.

Natalie: Wow. John’s right. He’s always right.
David: You don’t find that annoying?
Natalie: Well, he was trying to put himself in your shoes.
David: He couldn’t afford them.

Natalie: See, the gun was never found, and you wouldn’t have deliberately thrown it in the sewer grate.
David: I don’t know what to tell you.
Natalie: Maybe it’s still there.
David: Under my invisibility cloaking device?

Natalie: You may have really helped John just now.
David: It’s the least I could do since I half-orphaned him.
Natalie: You don’t think that’s funny any more than I do.
David: No, I don’t, but don’t blow my cover.

Natalie: You know, I never had much use for you.
David: You could've fooled me.
Natalie: Then I found out you shot a cop, covered it up.
David: This is a fun conversation.
Natalie: And now I find myself respecting you. I mean, I hate what you did, but I kind of like the way you're handling yourself now. It shows that you have a conscience underneath that handsome rogue thing you do.
David: Oh, no. You're falling in love with me, aren’t you?

Natalie: Is there anything I can get you, something you can’t get here? And don’t say "a key."
David: You said you're going to go back to Atlantic City with that fine-tooth comb of yours?
Natalie: Yes.
David: Pietrasanti’s, Carmine Street -- best cannoli in the world.
Natalie: I'll see what I can do.

David: I heard my shot. I felt the recoil. There was gunpowder on me, for crying out loud.
Natalie: You'd feel a kick with a blank, and you'd still have G.S.R. on your hand.
John: Think back. Did the shot echo?
Natalie: How loud was it?
John: Is it -- is it possible that the shot was loud enough that the echo might've covered for another shot?
Natalie: Especially if there was someone else on the other end of the alley.
John: As you consider this, consider the possibility that you may have been followed.
Natalie: Are you sure that no one else was there?
David: No, no, yes, no, and what’s G.S.R.? You guys are trying to get into my head, aren’t you? Well, stop it.

Natalie: We went to see George.
David: Oh, good, you talked to George? Who the hell is George?

Natalie: This isn’t over.
David: Well, you bet your sweet ass it isn’t, sister.

Natalie: John, give him a break. It’s not like he gave him classified information.
David: That’s right. Define "classified."

[Regarding Spencer's arrest]
Bo: Been waiting for this for a long time.
Paige: We all have.
David: I feel weird. No, I feel satisfied. No, I feel weird.
Natalie: That’s because, no matter what, Spencer’s still your brother.
David: Well, he sure never acted like one.

Natalie: All I know is that Spencer is walking around free and John is not very happy about it.
David: It's a chronic condition with him, isn't it?
Natalie: No comment.

David: Why were you there, Natalie? You were fresh out of the hospital with a limp the size of Toledo.
Natalie: Can we just drop it, ok?
David: My guess is it wasn't a yen for spring rolls.

David: Natalie, did you come to Thailand to save my life? I'm very flattered, and you're very pretty, but my heart belongs to another.
Natalie: Don't flatter yourself. I did it to save John's life.
David: Well, I think the jury is still out on whether you saved John's soul or not, but I'm very grateful for your devotion to your job and your obvious affection towards me. It saved my life.
Natalie: You know, John could've taken you out without missing a wink of sleep.
David: And this quality is attractive to you?

Natalie: You and John are both haunted by Thomas McBain's death.
David: And it's all because of Spencer.
Natalie: I have to say, when they had the brother lottery, you pretty much lost on that one.

David: So what do you think? John's not going to rest until he gets Spencer, huh?
Natalie: Right.
David: You know, it's not that I want John to get all cozy and friendly with me. I guess it beats being the archenemy of a guy who can kill people and still sleep at night.
Natalie: You know, in John's defense, you did fire a gun at his father and you didn't know that it was loaded with blanks.
David: That's true. I guess he and I won't be hitting the links together any time soon -- not that I'm a golf guy. Who do you think would look funnier in a golf shirt -- John or me? Actually, that's not fair. All clothes tend to look good on me.

David: (to Dorian) You know, Natalie's going to run into some of that Buchanan cash. What do you think is the appropriate interval before I can hit on her?
