Who are you? / How can I get in touch with you?
My name is Ali. I began this site when I was a college student, and now I keep it up in my spare time for fun. If you need to contact me for any reason, just e-mail colormist_dancing@hotmail.com

Why did you start up this site?
The site initially began on March 16th, 2004 as a sort of "bonus feature"/sideline attraction to If That's Love, my Todd and Blair website. I noticed that David was always coming up with really funny one-liners, and I wanted to highlight my favorites so other people could see them. In the beginning it was only a small collection. As the site became a little more popular, I expanded and it became a website in its own right. As far as I know, The Wit and Wisdom is the only website devoted entirely to quotes from one particular OLTL character.

Where do the quotes come from?
Quotes from 1994-1995 are typed up by me. Quotes from 2001 to the present are collected from the archives of the magnificent TV Megasite, which has daily OLTL transcripts dating back to mid 2001. It's an outstanding resource for any OLTL fan.

Where did you get the articles that appear in the Press section?
Nearly all of them are typed up from old soap magazines. A few are copied and pasted from online sites like Soap Opera Weekly.

How often do you update?
I used to try to update once a month. Now it's touch-and-go. It really depends on how busy I am.

Can I use the quotes for my own website?
Yeah, sure, just make sure you credit The TV Megasite for the original quotes (if you're using the ones from 2001-present). And if you'd like to credit The Wit and Wisdom too for gathering the quotes in the first place, I certainly won't stop you! ;)

Can I use some of the articles in Press section on my own website?
Yes, just please credit The Wit and Wisdom and the original publication in which the article appeared (ie Soap Opera Digest, Soap Opera Weekly, Soaps in Depth or TV Guide).

I think you need a David/[insert character name here] quote section! Why don't you have one yet?
I am still working on figuring out which characters should get their own sections.
