Tuc Watkins brought a lot of humor to OLTL as David, but he did a pretty stand-up thing by bringing alone Brian Kerwin (Charlie), as well! "I didn't even entertain the notion of doing soaps," admits Kerwin of his daytime stance before he befriended Watkins. "But Tuc lived down the street from me, and I would always see him going to work and hanging out and talking about it, and it seemed like he was having a good old time. And I thought, 'Oh, maybe it's not as bad as it's cracked up to be!'" So he did what he could to get on the show, and now he's happier than ever! "I have a regular job I can walk to, and I can be in town; you get very tired of dragging all your family off to Los Angeles," he says, adding that OLTL provides him with everything he ever wanted in a job. "It's been great!"
