What's Next For David? (SID 7/28/08)

Whenever David comes back to town on One Life to Live, there's always the sense that anything can happen. But nobody could have predicted that Asa's illegitimate son would actually marry Addie this time around! So why did David do it? "The reason is probably what everyone thinks," shares his portrayer Tuc Watkins. "It's really just to make Dorian mad. But, after having married Addie, he is pleasantly surprised at how much fun they have together; when it comes time for that bridge to be burned, it's a sad day." Fans usually consider David's departures as "sad days," and the next time should be no exception. "We will see what happens down the road," says the actor. "I'm not sure how David exits this time; I know that he commits a felony right before he leaves, and that is probably why he leaves." Of course, there's a very good chance that, once again, David could take off without learning that he's really the Buchanan heir. "There are so many things going on with the show," considers Watkins, "so that plot point about David can still be dangled like a carrot. And you never know -- it's a soap opera -- everyone gets a turn at being Asa's son, so maybe next month, it will be someone else!"
