David Confronts Asa (SID 11/21/06)

After learning that One Life to Live's Asa was home from the hospital, David decided to finally find out his mother's connection to the Buchanan patriarch. But after hearing that Asa loved the woman, David was left with more questions than answers. "Are you my father?" asked Spencer's brother. When he didn't get a direct respnse, David made his own paternity assumptions, hardly pleasing the cowboy. "You don't have an ounce of Buchanan blood in your body," steamed Asa. "You wouldn't admit it if I did, you old coot," responded David. "What did you call me?" barked Asa. "Sorry, Dad," said David. Nigel soon interrupted the two, bringing pills for the former patient. But David unexpectedly knocked the pills out of Nigels' hand, threatening to withhold them from Asa! (Of course, David would quickly learn that they were only replaceable vitamins.) Finally, after being threatened with a Bo visit, David left to hatch his next scheme. And while it was great to see Tuc Watkins pop in for another lively visit, this time it was Phil Carey returning to form as Asa that made their encounter so memorable.
