OLTL: Secret Past Revealed! (SOD 3/28/06)

Paige and David finally let out what Spencer has been holding over their heads all this time. "Years ago, David shot someone -- a cop -- in Atlantic City," reveals Alexandra Neil (Paige). "Paige treated this cop in the operating room and he died, but not really from the gunshot wound. Paige did surgery on him while she was drunk and made some kind of fatal error. So, that was the terrible thing she did, and this cop turned out to be somebody important in Llanview."

Though David and Paige don't know it yet, that cop was actually John and Michael's father. And while it isn't yet clear exactly what Spencer has to do with it all, it's a pretty sure bet that his hands are in some way dirty.

"It doesn't look like pulled the trigger or killed the man," Neil offers, "but he had something to do with it. I don't know if somehow he got them out of trouble or what, but it's constantly threatening both of them. It's the reason David's wedding didn't go off with Dorian and also what he's got over Paige that's scaring the daylights out of her."

Although Spencer still has the upper hand for now, David and Paige put their heads together and try to come up with a plan to get out from under his control. "I think Paige and David are a team who ultimately could bring Spencer down," Neil suggests. "They've known each other for, like, 25 years and are the only people who know the whole truth about him."
