Kelly's biggest concern these days is winning back Ace from estranged hubby Kevin, who has full custody, but that hasn't stopped her from following her heart. Last week, Kelly gave her Aunt Dorian's fiance, David, a friendly "thank-you" kiss. This week, she "thanks" him for lending a sympathetic ear with a more intense buss.

"David seems to be the only one who can get through to her and bring that smile back that is so much a part of Kelly," Head Writer Michael Malone explains. "She is grateful to him, and there is an attraction that they can't deny. When she kisses him, they discover that there are feelings between them."

But what about Dorian, who has gone out ofher way to help Kelly through her crisis? "It's tough for them because they both love Dorian," notes Malone. "They're trying to figure out a way to deal with everything." However, the attraction isn't coming out of nowhere. In 1995, Kelly developed a crush on David, who was then married to Dorian, and tried losing her virginity to him (she eventually lost it to Joey -- another of Dorian's exes). Earlier this year, when Kelly wanted Kevin to believe she was pregnant, she asked David to father her child (he refused, but she turned out to be pregnant for real by her hubby). "There is a history between David and Kelly," Malone says. "He's there for her when she needs him."
