Soaps' Most Dynamic Duos: David and Dorian (SID 6/8/04)

When Dorian divorced younger man David years ago, she thought he would never again darken her doorstep. But he did indeed become a frequent visitor while chasing her Badhra diamond. Tricking him in the end, Dorian kept the gem for herself, but even more priceless was David's response. Because he appreciates her penchant for scheming and trickery like no one else, the devious man actually encouraged it, all in the name of fun and games. First, he helped her stow away on the governor's plane so she could get a dire warning to niece Blair. Then he jumped on board with her plot to obtain Aunt Betsy's inheritance -- even though he stood to gain nothing from it himself! The gleam in Dorian's eyes was payment enough for David, and the more he became her constant companion, the more she came to rely on his company. But when being Dorian's biggest fan wasn't enough for Mr. Vickers, he surprised her with an impulsive marriage proopsal. Wary of getting twice burned, Dorian has her doubts: Will their shared penchant for manipulation and ill-gotten gains be enough to build a life on? With as much fun as they're having together? You bet!
